Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. 1 This Book is revealed from God, the Majestic and All-wise. 2 There are signs in the heavens and the earth for those who believe: 3 And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith]. 4 And (in) the variation of the night and the day, and (in) what Allah sends down of sustenance from the cloud, then gives life thereby to the earth after its death, and (in) the changing of the winds, there are signs for a people who understand. 5 These are the portents of Allah which We recite unto thee (Muhammad) with truth. Then in what fact, after Allah and His portents, will they believe? 6 Woe to every sinful liar! 7 who hears God's messages when they are conveyed to him, and yet, as though he had not heard them, persists in his haughty disdain! Hence, announce unto him grievous suffering 8 And when he cometh to know aught of Our revelations, he taketh it scoffingly. These! theirs shall be a torment ignominous; 9 Hell is behind them. Their worldly earnings shall not avail them, nor those whom they took as protectors instead of Allah. An awesome chastisement lies in store for them. 10 This is guidance; for those who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord the anger of the painful punishment awaits them. 11
