▼ 37 The Arrangers
Al-Saaffaat 5 of 5
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 and cast lots, and was of the rebutted, 141 And the fish swallowed him while he was blameworthy; 142 And had he not been of those who hallow Him, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 And We had sent him to a hundred thousand: rather they exceeded. 147 So they accepted faith – We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them if their Lord has daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 They used to say: 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
