Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ By the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We have the power to remould even his finger-tips. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 nay, man shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 in spite of all the excuses he may offer. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Nay; when a man's soul reaches up to the throat, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 and when leg is intertwined with leg, 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
