Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
