Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? He could have kept it motionless if He liked. Yet We make the sun its pilot to show the way. 45 then (as the sun climbs up), We roll it up little by little towards Ourselves. 46 And He it is Who made the night a covering for you, and the sleep a rest, and He made the day to rise up again. 47 And it is He who has loosed the winds, bearing good tidings before His mercy; and We sent down from heaven pure water 48 so that We might revive a dead land, and give to drink of it, of that We created, cattle and men a many. 49 And indeed, many times have We repeated [all] this unto men, so that they might take it to heart: but most men refuse to be aught but ingrate. 50 Had We willed, We would have raised up a separate Warner in each habitation. 51 So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving. 52 ۞ And it is He Who caused the two joint seas to flow- one is palatable, very sweet, and the other is salty, very bitter; and kept a veil between them and a preventing barrier. 53 And it is He Who has created man from water, and has appointed for him kindred by blood, and kindred by marriage. And your Lord is Ever All-Powerful to do what He will. 54 And they serve, apart from God, what neither profits them nor hurts them; and the unbeliever is ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 We did not send you but as a bearer of glad tidings and as a warner. 56 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (that which I have brought from my Lord and its preaching, etc.), save that whosoever wills, may take a Path to his Lord. 57 Put your trust in the All Living who never dies, and exalt with His praise, He is sufficiently aware of His worshipers' sins. 58 it is He who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days [periods], then settled Himself on the throne -- the Gracious One. Ask any informed person about Him. 59 And when it is said unto them: Prostrate to the Beneficent! they say: And what is the Beneficent? Are we to prostrate to whatever thou (Muhammad) biddest us? And it increaseth aversion in them. ۩ 60
