Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 'Lot' they replied, 'if you do not desist, you shall be thrown out' 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175
