Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
