O Ye who believe! obey Allah and His apostle and turn not away therefrom while ye hearken. 20 And be not like unto those who say: we hear, whereas they hearken not. 21 ۞ Verily the vilest of beasts with Allah are the deaf and dumb who understand not. 22 And had Allah known in them any good He would surely have made them hearken; and even if He made them hear, they would surely turn away as backsliders. 23 O you who believe! answer (the call of) Allah and His Apostle when he calls you to that which gives you life; and know that Allah intervenes between man and his heart, and that to Him you shall be gathered. 24 And guard yourselves against a chastisement which cannot fall exclusively on those of you who are wrong-doers, and know that Allah is severe in punishment. 25 And remember, when ye were few and reckoned feeble in the land, and were in fear lest men should extirpate you, how He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and made provision of good things for you, that haply ye might be thankful. 26 O you who believe! be not unfaithful to Allah and the Apostle, nor be unfaithful to your trusts while you know. 27 And know ye that your possessions and your progeny are but a trial; and that it is Allah with Whom lies your highest reward. 28
