Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
