SAY [O Muhammad]: "I am only a warner; and there is no deity whatever save God, the One, who holds absolute sway over all that exists, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 I have only received revelation to give you plain warning. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 And the angels did obeisance, all of them, 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! what prevented you that you should do obeisance to him whom I created with My two hands? Are you proud or are you of the exalted ones? 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day the time whereof is known [only to Me]." 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
