The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 and those that blow gently, 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So he showed him the greater sign; 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and brusquely turned his back [on Moses]; 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 you pay attention 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
