Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 What, does the human think We shall never gather his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 on that Day will man say: “Whither the refuge?” 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 [Prophet], do not move your tongue too fast in your attempt to learn this revelation: 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 When We have recited it, follow its words attentively; 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and it is said: “Is there any enchanter who can step forward and help (by his chanting)?” 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
