The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Surely He it is Who originates and reproduces, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
