Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 about what they did. 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
