Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 separating one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
