The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 and when the girl-child that was buried alive is made to ask 8 For what sin she was killed 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 to every one of you who wishes to tread the straight path. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
