Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Verily those who keep away from evil and follow the straight path shall be in the midst of gardens and springs of water. 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 And We have removed any resentments which were in their breasts – they are brothers, sitting face to face on thrones. 47 No weariness shall ever touch them in this [state of bliss,] and never shall they have to forgo it. 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 and that My punishment is a painful one. 50 Tell them of Abraham's guests. 51 When they came to him and said: "Peace," he answered: "Truly we are afraid of you." 52 "Have no fear," they said. "We bring you news of a son full of wisdom." 53 Said he: "Do you give me this glad tiding despite the fact that old age has overtaken me? Of what [strange thing,] then, are you giving me a tiding!" 54 They said: We bring thee good tidings in truth. So be not thou of the despairing. 55 He said, "No one despairs of the mercy of his Lord except those who are in error. 56 He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand' 57 They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” 58 excepting the household of Lot. We shall deliver all of them, 59 "Other than his wife who, it is decreed, will remain with those who will stay behind." 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
