The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 when they were seated around it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
