So when the apostles came to Lut's followers, 61 He said, “You are an unfamiliar people.” 62 They replied, "We have come to you about the matter which the (unbelievers) have rejected. 63 We truly tell you that we have brought to you the Truth. 64 "So leave with your family late in the night, yourself remaining in the rear, and let none turn back to look, and go where you will be commanded." 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 "And do not disgrace me. Have some fear of God." 69 They said, "Did we not forbid you to extend hospitality to strangers?" 70 [Lout (Lot)] said: "These (the girls of the nation) are my daughters (to marry lawfully), if you must act (so)." 71 By thy life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement, 72 So they were seized by the mighty blast at break of day; 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 And indeed that township is upon a road still in use. 76 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So, We took vengeance on them. They are both on an open highway, plain to see. 79
