T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We have not sent the Quran down to you to distress you, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 God - there is no deity save Him; His [alone] are the attributes of perfection! 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 "O Moses, I am verily your Lord, so take off your shoes, for you are in the holy plain of Towa. 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 "Verily, I - I alone - am God; there is no deity save Me. Hence, worship Me alone, and be constant in prayer, so as to remember Me! 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 “And what is this in your right hand, O Moosa?” 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, and with it, I beat down the leaves for my flock; I also have other uses for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Moses! 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "And press your (right) hand to your (left) side, it will come forth white (and shining), without any disease as another sign, 22 so that We might make thee aware of some of Our greatest wonders. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
