We have placed constellations in heaven and have beautified it for beholders, 16 and guarded them from every stoned satan. 17 so that anyone who seeks to learn [the unknowable] by stealth is pursued by a flame clear to see. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 and there appointed for you is a livelihood, and for those you do not provide. 20 And there is not a thing but its (sources and) treasures (inexhaustible) are with Us; but We only send down thereof in due and ascertainable measures. 21 We send fertilizing winds, and then cause rain to descend from the sky, providing you abundant water to drink even though you could not have stored it up for yourselves. 22 Truly, it is We who bring to life and We who cause death and We are the inheritor of all things. 23 We know the people who lived before you and those who will come into existence after you. 24 And indeed, your Lord will gather them; indeed, He is Wise and Knowing. 25
