The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These are the heirs 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 Indeed We created man from a chosen soil. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
