Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

AND, INDEED, We have set up in the heavens great constellations, and endowed them with beauty for all to behold; 16 And We have kept it guarded from every outcast devil. 17 Except one who steals a hearing and is pursued by a clear burning flame. 18 We have spread out the earth, fixed mountains thereupon and caused everything to grow to its proper weight 19 And We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible. 20 There is nothing except that its treasuries are with Us and We do not send it down except in a known measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. 22 It is indeed We Who grant life and cause death and it is We who shall be the sole Inheritors of all. 23 We know those of you who press forward, and We know the laggards, 24 and it is your Lord who will gather them. He is Wise, Knowing. 25
