۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 instead of God, and lead them all onto the way to the blazing fire, 23 "But stop them, verily they are to be questioned. 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 So we led you astray, for we ourselves were erring. 32 So verily on that Day they all in the torment will be sharers. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 saying, 'What, shall we forsake our gods for a poet possessed?' 36 Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers. 37 Verily ye are going to taste a torment afflictive. 38 But it will be no more than the retribution of (the Evil) that ye have wrought;- 39 Except for God's sincere servants; 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In gardens of pleasure, 43 On thrones facing one another. 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 Clear, delicious to drink, 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ – 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 And he will reply: 'Are you looking down (into Hell)' 54 And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire. 55 He said: "By Allah! thou wast little short of bringing me to perdition! 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 What, do we then not die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Verily it is a tree that springeth forth in the bottom of Flaming Fire. 64 and its fruits are like devils' heads. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 Truly they found their fathers on the wrong Path; 69 and [now] they make haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 So had many an earlier people gone astray, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Therefore see what sort of fate befell those who were warned! 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
