And remember Our servant Job: when he cried to his Lord: “Behold, Satan has afflicted me with much hardship and suffering.” 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 We restored to him his family and like those with them, a mercy from Us and a reminder to a nation that understand. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 Verily We exalted them in consideration of a sterling quality: their remembrance of the Abode of the Hereafter. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is the promise being given to you, for the Day of Reckoning. 53 (It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish; 54 All this (is for the God-fearing). But for the transgressors, an evil resort awaits them -- 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 And similar other punishments in pairs. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
