1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 and stop them there for questioning: 24 They will be asked, "Why do you not help each other?" 25 Nay, but on that Day they would willingly surrender [to God]; 26 And some of them inclined towards others, mutually questioning. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 The sentence of our Lord has come true for us. We have certainly to taste (the punishment), 31 For we had led you astray. In fact we ourselves were astray." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?" 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 Ye shall indeed taste of the Grievous Penalty;- 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 With them will be spouses, modest of gaze and beautiful of eye, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 One of them will say, "I had a companion who asked me, 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 "Had it not been for the Grace of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought forth (to Hell)." 57 But then, [O my friends in paradise,] is it [really] so that we are not to die 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 This will indeed be great happiness. 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this better as a welcome, or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have made this tree a trial for the wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its spathes are like the prickly pear. 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then most surely they shall have after it to drink of a mixture prepared in boiling water. 67 Then shall their return be to the (Blazing) Fire. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
