Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
