The Bee (Al-nahl)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sendeth down the angels with the spirit by His command upon whomsoever of his bondmen He willeth: warn that there is no god but I, wherefore fear Me. 2 He has created the heavens and the earth for a genuine purpose. He is too Exalted to be considered equal to anything else. 3 He created man from a small seed and lo! he is an open contender. 4 And cattle He has created for you (men): from them ye derive warmth, and numerous benefits, and of their (meat) ye eat. 5 And wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning. 6 And they bear your loads to a city which ye could not reach except with travail of souls; verily your Lord is Kind, Merciful. 7 And [it is He who creates] horses and mules and asses for you to ride, as well as for [their] beauty: and He will yet create things of which [today] you have no knowledge. 8 And the middle path rightly leads to Allah – any other path is wayward; and had He willed He would have brought all of you upon guidance. 9
