The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 that on that Day their Sustainer [will show that He] has always been fully aware of them? 11
