Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Then those that produce fire striking, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed, the human is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
