In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
