Are you more difficult to create or the heavens? He built it, 27 On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection. 28 Its night He covers with darkness, and its forenoon He brings out (with light). 29 And after it spread out the earth. 30 And produced therefrom the water thereof and the pasture thereof, 31 And the mountains, He made them firm, 32 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 the human being will recall whatever he has done. 35 and Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 So as for he who transgressed 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 surely Hell shall be the refuge. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Their abode will be the Garden. 41 They ask you about the Hour: “When will it be?” 42 what have you to do with the mentioning of it? 43 The extent of its knowledge goes to your Lord. 44 Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46
