He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 you attended to him, 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and fears (Allah), 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 most exalted and purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 Noble and righteous. 16 Woe to man! What hath made him reject Allah; 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then when He wills, He will resurrect him. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and herbage 28 Olives and dates, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 And fruit and grass - 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 on that Day some faces will be beaming, 38 laughing, rejoicing at glad tidings. 39 And many a face will be covered with dust on that day. 40 and veiled with darkness. 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
