Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
