Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 Recall what time he ran away unto a laden ship. 140 Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. 141 Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 except for God's sincere servants. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 What though they would say, 167 "Had we received guidance from the people living before us, 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 We have already given Our promise to Our Messengers 171 That they would be helped, 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and watch. They, too, will watch. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 Peace be upon the Messengers 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
