The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
