The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 who give charity, 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
