The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
