Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen my back by him, 31 "And make him share my task: 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember you often. 34 Surely You know us well." 35 He said: "Moses, your petition is granted. 36 We had already shown you favor 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 [And We favored you] when your sister went and said, 'Shall I direct you to someone who will be responsible for him?' So We restored you to your mother that she might be content and not grieve. And you killed someone, but We saved you from retaliation and tried you with a [severe] trial. And you remained [some] years among the people of Madyan. Then you came [here] at the decreed time, O Moses. 40 I have chosen you for Myself. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 And speak unto him a gentle word, that peradventure he may heed or fear. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He said: Then what is the state of the former generations? 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
