NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 The human being will certainly experience the agony of death 18 and (the human being will be told), "This is what you had been trying to run away from". 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown; that is the Day of the Threat. 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this; now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" 22 And his Companion will say: "Here is (his Record) ready with me!" 23 (And it will be said): "Both of you throw (Order from Allah to the two angels) into Hell, every stubborn disbeliever (in the Oneness of Allah, in His Messengers, etc.). 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 He will say: "Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
