Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
