The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
