The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I (too) am planning a plan. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
