Proof (Al-Bayyinah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Divorce (Al-Talaaq) before Exodus (Al-Hashr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters would never leave off; till the Clear Sign came to them, 1 a Messenger (Muhammad) from God, reciting to them parts of the purified, 2 Wherein are discourses eternal. 3 Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. 4 They were commanded only to worship God, offering Him sincere devotion, to be sincere in their faith, to pray regularly; and to give alms, for that is the right religion. 5 Surely the unbelievers among the people of the Book and the idolaters, will abide in the fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. 6 Indeed those who accepted faith and did good deeds it is they who are the best among the creation. 7 God has a reward in store for them: Gardens of eternity, through which rivers flow; they will dwell therein forever. God is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him. Thus shall the God-fearing be rewarded. 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
