Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The desire to have more of the worldly gains have pre-occupied you so much (that you have neglected remembring God), 1 until you go down to your graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Surely ye shall behold the Scorch. 6 and you will see it with your own eyes. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
