And assuredly the dwellers of Hijr belied the sent ones. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: 'I am the plain warner' 89 Like (those) We had sent to those schismatics who slandered their Books 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 About their deeds. 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). 98 And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain. 99
