(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And let him share my task 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and may remember You much. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 We have bestowed Our favour on you before this 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 Saying: Put him into a chest, then cast it down into the river, then the river shall throw him on the shore; there shall take him up one who is an enemy to Me and enemy to him, and I cast down upon you love from Me, and that you might be brought up before My eyes; 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 They both submitted, “Our Lord – indeed we fear that he may oppress us or deal mischievously.” 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
