The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 then We made this drop into a clot, then We made the clot into a lump, then We made the lump into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We caused it to grow into another creation. Thus Most Blessed is Allah, the Best of all those that create. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
