The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
