The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and deliver thy warning! 2 proclaim the greatness of your Lord, 3 purify your garments; 4 And stay away from idols. 5 And do not confer favor to acquire more 6 and be patient unto thy Lord. 7 Then, when the Trumpet is sounded (i.e. its second blowing); 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 Not easy upon the disbelievers. 10 Leave him to Me, the one whom I created single. 11 and designated for him ample wealth, 12 and children as [love's] witnesses, 13 And for whom I smoothed everything. 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 I shall soon constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 Verily he considered, and devised. 18 Ruin seize him, how did he hatch a scheme? 19 And again perish he! How maliciously he devised! 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then frowned he and scowled. 22 Then turned he back, and grew stiff-necked. 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 This is nothing but the word of mortal man!" 25 [Hence,] I shall cause him to endure hell-fire [in the life to come]! 26 And what do you know what Hell is? 27 It leaves nothing, nor does it spare; 28 Scorching the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen [angels]. 30 And We have appointed none but the angels to be wardens of the Fire. And their number we have made only a trial for those who disbelieve, so that those who are vouchsafed the Book may be convinced, and that those who believe may increase in faith, and that those who are vouchsafed the Book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the infidels may say: what meaneth Allah by this description! In this wise Allah sendeth astray whomsoever He will, and guideth whomsoever He will. And none knoweth the hosts of thy Lord but He. And it is naught but an admonition unto man. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
